After a rough week I finally got to do some store creations. I am so excited to list some stuff tomorrow. Set of six themed magnets will go in the store. Plus two journals I have been working on for two/three weeks. One is fun, pop, color, letters, WORD. The other is vintage, very vintage craziness. Seriously I used over a dozen very old very vintage, silver and gold buttons to decorate the journal. They are so interesting the detail and it just screams vintage, write awesome things in me.
So my only problem is what to charge for this very unique journal. I have been pricing my journals at 10.99 which I think is pretty fair. I do put a lot of love and attention into each piece. You can walk into a chain store and spend fifteen or more on a mass produced journal that everyone in town has, or you can come to my store and get a journal that is unique that no one has. As of yet I have not ever replicated a journal idea, nor do I plan to! I have too many great art supplies and ideas bouncing around to keep reproducing the same thing. That would be boring for me, and for you!
The thing that is different about the vintage button journal, is that each button is old(er). The buttons ages reach from 50 or more years old, the detail and color is great. The youngest button would be thirty. I mean when I say vintage, I don't mean just went out of style last year.
Plus it has taken a lot of work, I am not even finished yet!
I will post a picture tomorrow and some comment/advice on price would be well welcomed!
Thanks4stopping!
