In my opinion (just opinion) a true artist makes more than just art to sell. A true artist makes things/works of art for themselves as well. Why it would seem like a waste of talent if you were not able to enjoy the fruits of your labors! So I found these blank check book holders that I had bought a long time ago, probably with the intention of selling them at some point. Well gall-darnit I wanted to make something for myself, so I did. I used these fun art sticker and some plain cardstock. It is not super fancy but it way cooler than the plain brown one I had been using. You know what? It makes writing checks for bills just a little bit fun!
MAKE something ARTY for YOURSELF today!

I love this idea. Although I'm not an artist AT ALL, so I wouldn't know about creating things for other people, nevermind myself. I think it's nice to give presents to yourself, so I'm glad you made this lovely cheque book holder as a little present to you! You deserve it!
Also, you should take a look at posting some of your creative creations on my new site for vintage & handmade: http://efreeme.com - there are no listing fees or commissions on sales, so it keeps some pennies in your pocket! (so you can write more cheques with your pretty cheque book holder!)
What a great idea! I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't be arty everyday :)
Fun creation! I'd love to decorate check book covers with my art - do you remember where you bought them?
Thank you for stopping by my blog and sharing your information, CREATE! I can't wait to experiment.
I LOVE this!! I truly beleive that it is amazing that we all have the ability to create something new everyday of our lives! SO much that I made it a regular part of my blog too!! Great idea!
